Fusion Vice President of Communications and Public Relations Calli Hite is being honored as an Inspire Omaha finalist for the improvements she has made to Fusion’s communication strategy and the impact she has made in the Omaha community throughout her career.

Inspire Omaha recognizes women in the community who have excelled in their professional lives and as leaders and role models across the Greater Omaha Area.

"I am honored to be nominated and considered amongst this group of women exceling in their respective areas of expertise – many of whom I have been following and cheering on for years," said Hite. "Like many, I am indebted to the many mentors, advocates, leaders, and friends and family who have encouraged and supported me, and I am dedicated to continue mentoring upcoming leaders, especially female leaders, to make their own way in our community and their careers."

Finalists and winners for the Inspire Omaha awards were recognized Wednesday, November 1 for their inspiring professional achievements and their dedication to making the Omaha community a great place to live and work. More than 150 nominations were submitted, and the Inspire Advisory Board chose five finalists for each category and named one as the overall winner.

The Excellence in Business category highlighted Omaha area women making a difference in the lives of their colleagues in their business or in their networking groups, contributing to nonprofits, and are pouring into the local community or women’s/girls’ groups.

Hite oversees all internal corporate communications, public relations, and community outreach as well as providing a strategic vision that increases employee engagement, leadership transparency, and a positive industry and community reputation. Additionally, Hite is currently in her second term serving on the Lutheran Family Services’ governing board. She is an alumnus of the Women’s Fund’s Circles program and past president of both the Omaha chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) guild.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, both from the University of Kansas, and a Master of Business Administration from Bellevue University.
